How We Rate Casino Cashiers
A ranking is worth nothing if the reader cannot see what produced it. Below is the whole model: seven criteria, the weight each one carries, the checks that are specific to British players, and the three things this method cannot do.
The Scoring Model
No criterion is allowed to dominate. The top three sit within two points of each other on purpose, because a cashier that pays quickly but hides its weekly cap is not better than a slower one that publishes everything.
| Criterion | Weight |
|---|---|
| Payment coverage and withdrawal speed | 20% |
| Cashier honesty: limits, fees, pairing rules | 20% |
| Verification timing and document requests | 18% |
| Bonus terms, including excluded rails | 14% |
| Licensing and operator background | 12% |
| Support when a payment goes missing | 9% |
| Game range and providers | 7% |
Payment Coverage and Withdrawal Speed
How many rail families the cashier offers, how many of them work in both directions, and how long the money takes once a withdrawal has been approved. We time the stages separately, because the operator controls approval and the rail controls the rest. A site with five families and a same-day wallet route scores where a site with one crypto option does not.
Cashier Honesty
Whether the minimum, the weekly cap, the fee and the pairing rule are published before you deposit or discovered after you win. This carries as much weight as speed, and it is the criterion that moves scores most. A cap of a few thousand per week is normal here and nobody is marked down for having one. Not showing it is a different matter.
Verification Timing
Anti-money-laundering checks apply wherever an operator is licensed, so the question is never whether documents are requested. It is when. Cashiers that let you verify on the day you register score above cashiers that only ask once a payout is pending, and well above those that ask twice.
Bonus Terms
Wagering, the maximum bet while a bonus is live, the expiry window, and which payment methods the offer excludes. That last one is the detail our subject brings into focus: wallet deposits are the ones most often left out, and a 430% match that your chosen rail does not qualify for is worth nothing.
Licensing and Operator Background
Which authority issued the licence, whether the number resolves in that authority's register, who owns the operator and how long the brand has run. Named where we can confirm it, left out where we cannot. A Costa Rica registration is a company filing rather than a gambling licence, and we treat it as one.
Support and Game Range
Support is tested with a payment question, not a general one, because that is the only answer that matters when a deposit has vanished. Game range is last on the list at 7%, which is unusual for a casino site and entirely deliberate: a shelf of 8,000 titles does not help anybody waiting on a withdrawal.
What Keeps a Casino Out
A cashier that advertises a rail it cannot actually process. A withdrawal request that goes unanswered past the quoted window with no explanation. Terms that let the operator void winnings at its own discretion. Any site that will not confirm it accepts British players before we deposit. None of these are scored down, they are simply left off the page.
The UK Checks
Every market gets its own layer, and for the United Kingdom it covers four things. Whether the operator appears on the Gambling Commission public register, and we state plainly that the sites we list do not. Whether the cashier can hold a GBP balance or converts to euros twice. Whether UK debit cards clear or get declined on merchant category code 7995. And whether the gambling block in the main banking apps blocks the payment before the casino ever sees it.
GAMSTOP is part of this check too, in the honest direction: registration with the scheme binds Commission licensees, so it does not reach the operators here. Anyone who has self-excluded should know that before they read a table, and it is why the responsible gambling page carries the National Gambling Helpline number rather than a logo.
Commercial Disclosure
Some operators on this site pay us a commission when a reader signs up through our link. The scoring model above is applied before any of that and scores are not for sale, which is the same claim the disclosure note on the homepage makes. Casinos we have no commercial relationship with appear in our articles as editorial picks, without a link.
What This Method Cannot Do
Terms change without notice, and a limit we verified can move the week after. Payout speed depends on the state of your own verification as much as on the rail, so your result will differ from ours. And a score is a snapshot of what we could confirm, not a guarantee about what happens next. Rosa Kendrick writes and maintains these scores; corrections go to rosa@casinos-payments.com.
